Jurisdictional Bishop
Born in a traditional Christian family, Dr. Bevin Lawrence spent his younger days in his native village. In 1975 he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, saved, sanctified and anointed by the Holy Spirit on July 18, 1975. He obeyed to water baptism on August 3, 1975. He got his medical degree in 1982 and obeyed to God’s call for His ministry in 1986. He planted many churches in India, traveled across India, preaching in many Gospel crusades and have written many books in Tamil and translated Christian books from English to Tamil. In 1995 he started his Medical Mission in deep jungles around Kodaikanal, his hometown. Regular free health care camps are conducted by his TEAM to provide free medicines and to teach the illiterates about health care. God performed many miracles in this ministry. Many churches were planted in many parts of India. He started a ‘Home’ for the tribal, destitute, orphan and street children in 2000 where 60 children are cared.
The International Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake and the General Board of the Church of God in Christ appointed Dr. Bevin G. Lawrence as the Jurisdictional Bishop of the India III Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.
There are 60 churches in this Jurisdiction.
Dr. Bevin Lawrence and Mother Serena Lawrence are married for 29 years and they have three sons Gladvin G. Lawrence, Divine S. Lawrence and Denvin P. Lawrence. Gladvin is married to Rachel.

First Lady Serena Bevin Lawrence
Born in a traditional Christian Family in 1960, accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 18, baptized and sanctified. She is a Post graduate in English Literature. She had been a teacher and later worked as the President of a Women’s College. She resigned her job in the year 2002 to involve in full time ministry. She helps her husband in the ministry and leads the Women’s Department of the COGIC India 3rd Jurisdiction. She also takes care of the destitute and orphan children who are in the Children’s Home under this Jurisdiction.
